📍 Luqu · Luqu County 🏛️ Late Qing dynasty

📜 About & history

Langmusi Mosque, formerly called the Hebei Mosque, is in Jiake Village, Langmusi Town, Luqu County, Gansu. It was founded in the late Qing by Hui merchants from Hebei, destroyed during the Cultural Revolution and rebuilt in 1980 on a 2-mu site, with a 130-square-metre prayer hall under an overhanging gable roof. Together with Kirti and Sertri monasteries it is counted among the "three great temples" of Langmusi, a town whose mix of Han, Tibetan and Hui communities and religions draws many visitors.
