📜 About & history
The Kuqa Grand Mosque is the second-largest mosque in Xinjiang after the Id Kah Mosque in Kashgar. First built in 1559 by Ishaq Wali, it was destroyed by fire in 1918 and rebuilt in 1931. Its courtyard preserves the remains of an old Islamic religious court, and in 2013 it was listed among China's National Key Cultural Relics.
