📜 About & history
The mosque traces its roots to Muslims who migrated to Shanxi after 1632 from Shaanxi, Henan, Ningxia, Hebei and Shandong because of warfare, famine and trade. After the Zhengzhou-Taiyuan railway opened in 1907, further Hui communities from Hebei relocated to Shanxi. The mosque today serves about 1,500 Muslims across roughly 300 households.
