📜 About & history

Jiangpu Yitiaoxiang Mosque, also called the Zhujiang Town Mosque, is at 9 Yitiao Lane, Zhujiang Town, Jiangpu, Nanjing. Founded before 1929, it originally had a prayer hall, ablution rooms and more than 20 mu of endowment land. From 1930 to 1946 imams Jin Wuzhen and Jin Shouyi led it, but activities later lapsed. When the district Islamic Association took it over in 2001, only a damaged prayer hall and 80 square metres of adobe rooms remained; from 2007 three phases of work added 170 square metres, bringing the total to 370 square metres, and Friday prayers and the three main festivals were resumed.
