Huzhuang Mosque

胡庄清真寺
📍 Luohe · Yancheng District 🏛️ Before 1910

📜 About & history

Huzhuang Mosque is in Huzhuang Village, Shangqiao Town, 35 li northwest of Yancheng, Luohe, Henan. It covers 1 mu and has a three-bay prayer hall and three north rooms, serving about 480 Hui, mainly of the Tong and Ma families. It was founded before 1910: because funerals required fetching an imam from elsewhere, Tong Baoshan's grandfather donated land and villagers funded a three-room thatched prayer hall. After the hall collapsed in 1958, Imam Ba Changqing built three east rooms; the Hui rebuilt the prayer hall in 1984 and added three more rooms in 1987.
