📜 About & history
Hulan Mosque in Hulan District, Harbin, was founded in 1810 (15th year of the Qing Jiaqing era) as three thatched rooms. Local Hui residents enlarged it from 1875 over three years to a 5,000-square-metre compound, and in 1956 it was moved to Heping Street because of flooding on the Hulan River. Laid out around a courtyard, its prayer hall holds 300 worshippers and bears a Nine-Dragon plaque and a plaque by Zuo Baogui. The congregation numbers 210 households (1,227 people), and in 2014 it was listed in the sixth batch of Heilongjiang provincial protected heritage sites.
