📜 About & history

The roots of Hotan Grand Mosque are believed to trace to the Tang dynasty when Hotan was a key Silk Road station and early gateway for Islam. The present structure was rebuilt in the Ming dynasty and renovated several times; it remains the principal religious centre of Hotan city.
