Gataizi Mosque is at Gatai in Monigou Township, Linxia County, on a south-facing slope in the middle of the Monigou valley, about 1.5 km east of Hejia Village, surrounded by poplar woods with a clear spring flowing in front. It belongs to the Yihewani school, covers 2 mu and serves more than 50 households (over 200 people). The prayer hall is a gable-and-hip brick-and-concrete building three bays wide with side bays to the north and south, bracket sets and five-colour painting. There is no proper minaret; a temporary wooden platform is used for the call to prayer.
