📜 About & history
Duomu Grand Mosque in Duomu Village, Maji Township, Linxia County, was founded in the Qianlong era of the Qing dynasty, and Ma Laichi, founder of the Huasi order, once taught here. The original buildings were pulled down in 1958; believers rebuilt the timber hip-and-gable prayer hall in 1980, added a five-storey hexagonal minaret in 1984 and a front porch in 1991, for a total floor area of 1,200 square metres. It follows the Huasi order, oversees 14 smaller mosques and holds congregational Friday prayers.
