📜 About & history
The mosque originally stood at 68 Beixiaguan, Dongzhimenwai Xiaojie, and is said to have been rebuilt in the Qing dynasty. After 1949 it was occupied and used as a carton factory. In 1988 it was moved for urban construction to its present site in the Chaci residential area near Dongzhimen Bridge and reopened. Its gate bears the inscription "开天古教" carved in 1932. It was registered as a municipal/county-level protected cultural relic on 21 January 1986.
