📜 About & history

Dikouzhuang Mosque in Dikouzhuang, Tianqiao District, is one of the older surviving mosques of Jinan. Founded in the last years of the Ming Wanli era (1610–1615) as a few thatched rooms, it was first repaired in 1708, destroyed in fighting in 1861 and rebuilt in 1865 on a 1,620-square-metre site. The prayer hall bears a plaque written by the Qing general Zuo Baogui, and two Qing land-donation steles survive. It was renovated four times between 1981 and 1990 and listed in the fourth batch of Jinan municipal protected heritage sites in 2013.
