📜 About & history

Diantou Mosque is in Diantou East Village, Diantou Town, Linshu County, Linyi. Founded in the Ming Chongzhen era, it was rebuilt in 1893 and 1942, was one of the seven great mosques of old Tan, and became a Linyi municipal protected site (4th batch) in 2014. The surviving buildings cover 726 square metres; the main structure is a three-bay palace-style hall with grey tiles and a silver-white tin crown. It was damaged by Japanese troops during the war, and its gatehouse, steles and records were destroyed in the Cultural Revolution; it has since been repaired several times.
