📜 About & history
Dayingzi Mosque, founded in the Daoguang era of the Qing dynasty, is the oldest surviving mosque in Jinan north of the Yellow River. It covers 1,000 square metres with 350 square metres of buildings; the 140-square-metre prayer hall, which blends Chinese and Western styles, consists of a porch, a front hall and a rear hall. Three old steles in the mosque record its rebuilding in the Tongzhi era. Dayingzi is an all-Hui village of about 600 people.
