📜 About & history
Daye Mosque stands in the centre of Daye, a Hui village of over 2,700 people. Founded in the Ming Zhengde–Jiajing period some 500 years ago, it is an intact Ming-style complex of brick, stone and timber with three courtyards covering 1,400 square metres, and two cypresses over 500 years old. The Zhangqiu Hui anti-Japanese battalion was founded in the mosque in 1944, and it became a municipal protected site in 2000.
