Dalian Mosque stands on Beijing Street in Xigang District, just east of Dalian No.1 Middle School near Renmin Square. It was first built between 1922 and 1925 to serve the city's growing Hui community. Closed during the Cultural Revolution, it was restored after 1979, and in April 1989 a new mosque was begun on the site, formally reopening on 28 October 1990. The three-storey Arabic-style building, faced in white and green tiles, houses ablution rooms on the first floor, the imam's offices on the second and the men's and women's prayer halls on the third, serving a congregation of around a thousand households and over six thousand mostly Hui Muslims.

- Line 2 Renmin Square （人民广场）
Many buses stop around Renmin Square and Beijing Street near the mosque; confirm route numbers locally.
About 3 km northwest of Dalian Railway Station; a taxi takes roughly 10 minutes, or take Metro Line 2 to Renmin Square.
Right by Renmin Square in Xigang District; from Zhongshan Square walk or take a short taxi west, or ride Metro Line 2 to Renmin Square.
