The Dahejia Grand Mosque stands in the riverside trading town of Dahejia in Jishishan County, on the Yellow River at the Gansu–Qinghai border and gateway toward the Salar region of Xunhua. It serves a mixed Hui, Bonan (Bao'an) and Dongxiang congregation in one of the most concentrated Muslim districts of western Linxia prefecture, an area long famed for its border trade and craftsmanship.
