📜 About & history
The mosque was built in 1577 (the fifth year of the Ming Wanli era) as a Kaaba-style structure. It was burned down in 1861 during the Xianfeng reign and later rebuilt during the Tongzhi and Guangxu periods. Severely damaged during the Cultural Revolution, it was restored in 1981.
