📍 Cangzhou · Yunhe District 🏛️ 1740 👥 60–70 worshippers

📜 About & history

Cangzhou West Mosque is in Xisi Hutong off Minzhu Street, Yunhe District, Cangzhou, Hebei. It was founded in 1740 by an imam surnamed Jin from Jinan and local imam Liu Bao, among others, after they separated from the North Grand Mosque, which presented it with a plaque reading "The Right Path Is Worthy of Esteem". Covering 1,445 square metres with 510 square metres of buildings — a prayer hall and 33 rooms — it belongs to the Jahriyya order and is the order's only mosque in Cangzhou. It was pulled down in the Cultural Revolution, leaving only four rooms; worship later resumed, and the restored mosque holds 60–70 worshippers.
