📜 About & history
The mosque was founded in 1404 (the second year of the Ming Yongle era) and was expanded several times during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was burned by invading Japanese troops in 1939 during a sweep of the area. In 1953 the central government allocated funds to rebuild the mosque for the Hui community of Benzhai Village.
