📜 About & history
One of the oldest mosques in the Hui quarter of Changji, first built during the Qing Jiaqing era (1796-1820) on a modest scale. It was enlarged in the Guangxu period (from about 1876) to roughly its present courtyard form, with a total floor area near 900 sq m. Damaged during war and the Cultural Revolution, it resumed religious use in 1980 and was restored by 1982.

Changji city buses serve the West Street / old town area near the mosque.
In the West Street Hui quarter of central Changji; a short taxi ride from downtown, or about 40 minutes by road from Urumqi.
The West Street Hui quarter has many halal restaurants and snack stalls. Chinese spoken.
