📜 About & history

Built in the Ming-dynasty Wanli era and repaired under the Qing Shunzhi reign, this mosque in the old town of Beicheng serves a Hui community of over 5,000. Its three-tier, four-sided pyramidal pavilion minaret (bang tower), about 30 m tall with upturned eaves, was rebuilt in 1914 and is a landmark. It is a Hongta District protected cultural relic.
