Baoding North Mosque is one of the city's older mosques; study of its prayer-hall structure dates the original building to the early Ming Yongle era (1403–1424). It was substantially enlarged and rebuilt in 1753 (the 18th year of the Qianlong reign) and repaired again in the late Qing and early Republican period. The mosque stands at No. 44 Shifuwei Street in the old city and continues to serve the local Hui community. Its long history and traditional Chinese-style architecture make it a notable heritage mosque of Baoding.

Reachable by Baoding city buses to the old-city government-office (Shifuwei Street) area; alight nearby and walk in.
In central Baoding, ask for Shifuwei Street (市府卫街); the North Mosque is an active neighbourhood mosque within the historic Hui area, with halal food nearby.
The mosque is in Lianchi District's old core on Shifuwei Street, a short taxi or bus ride from Baoding's central sights.
