Ahetan Mosque stands in Ahetan Village on the Yellow River in Gandu Town, Hualong. It was founded during the Wanli reign of the Ming dynasty (1573-1620) and is laid out as a walled quadrangle courtyard complex. The site covers about 1,938 square metres and preserves traditional Chinese-Islamic timber halls. Set among the riverside villages of Hualong, it is a long-established mosque of the local Hui community.
