A vegetable wholesale market in Zhonggong Town south of Jinan, founded in 1987 as an open-air market and rebuilt in 1994–95 with funds from Zhongnan Village and traders. It has 1,000+ stalls and about 3,000 traders a day, busiest in early morning and evening, selling 20-plus varieties of winter greenhouse and seasonal vegetables. It is an important supplier to Jinan and ships as far as Tianjin, Beijing, Qinhuangdao and Shenyang. Suits vegetable traders.
