「Jade」 here is mostly dolomite, nephrite and coloured stones rather than Burmese jadeite — ask exactly which stone it is and request a gem-testing certificate (there is a gemstone testing centre in Shifosi); buy by weight or by piece for volume; use written contracts for expensive pieces
