A seafood wholesale market opened in 2002 in Kuiwen District, on over 130 mu with 448 shopfronts and more than 11,000 m² of sheds, used by 1,200+ fixed traders. A new site, Nanxiahe Agri-Port City with a seafood distribution centre and cold-chain park, is under construction and expected around 2026. It suits fish traders and restaurants in Weifang.
