China's largest cordyceps (caterpillar fungus) market and the national hub of the trade, next to Xining Railway Station. Opened in 2010 on over 100 mu, it hosts more than 20,000 companies and traders with annual turnover above 10 billion yuan; the fresh-cordyceps season peaks from May to July. Traditional 'hand-in-sleeve' price haggling coexists with livestream selling. It suits herbal-medicine and health-product traders.
