A fabric market opened in 1990 beside the Haiyin Bridge on the Pearl River, with over 10,000 m² and more than 600 stalls. It is split into fashion fabrics and home-décor textiles such as curtain fabric, with a fourth-floor worsted-wool section from Chinese mills, and offers wholesale, retail and made-to-order tailoring. About a third of its visitors are foreigners, many of them during the Canton Fair.
