Shenzhen's only first-tier farm-produce wholesale market, in Pinghu, Longgang District, near the Jihe and Shuiguan expressways, opened in September 2011 on a 300,000 m² site with 820,000 m² of buildings. It has 20,000-tonne cold storage, trades about 4,500 tonnes of vegetables a day and 6 million tonnes a year worth RMB 30 billion, supplying Shenzhen, Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta. Good for bulk fresh-produce buyers.
