It is divided into general trading, processing and distribution, modern cold-chain and business service zones, receives lorries from all over China and imported containers, and is used both by Middle Eastern importers of fruit and dates and by exporters of garlic, apples and pears

Local Gaobeidian buses serve the park, with shuttles from Gaobeidian East high-speed railway station
About 5 km north of central Gaobeidian; roughly 80 km south-west of Beijing, about an hour by car or half an hour by high-speed train from Beijing West
💡 Tips for traders
The best time to visit is between midnight and dawn, when consignments arrive and prices are set; buying is by the case or truckload rather than by the kilo; ask for certificates of origin and phytosanitary certificates for import or export; cold stores inside the park can be rented by the hour or the day; the park is about an hour by road from southern Beijing
