An underground shopping complex beneath Central Square in Longsha District, Qiqihar, converted from a civil-defence shelter and opened in January 2013 with 45,000 m² of space. Designed around an oasis and Silk Road theme, it combines shopping, dining, leisure and games, with 19 entrances and four 24-hour pedestrian underpasses linking Longhua Avenue and the Jindi underground street. It draws about 4 million visits a year and is handy for downtown shoppers, especially in winter.
