Hainan's first large shopping centre, on Haixiu East Road at the heart of Haikou's main Haixiu East shopping district, opened in September 2000 with 100,000 m² on nine floors above ground and two below, a 1,200 m² glazed atrium and a 6,000 m² front plaza. Owned by Hainan Commercial Management Group, it has been repositioning since 2018 with new tenants such as a supermarket and local tea houses. It suits shoppers in Haikou's old centre.
