📜 The law text / key provisions
Food Safety Law (revised 2021): (1) requires producers and distributors to comply with strict safety standards approved by the National Food Safety Authority (GB); (2) compensation for spoiled or adulterated food: 10 times the food price or 1000 CNY minimum; (3) e-commerce platform liability for safety of food sold on their platforms; (4) strict prohibition on unlicensed additives. How to report: 12315 (consumer complaints) or local Market Supervision Administration.
