📜 The law text / key provisions

The Copyright Law (2021 Amendment) provides: (1) Protected works: books, music, films, computer programs, databases; (2) Duration: author's life + 50 years for individuals; (3) Damages: raised to RMB 5 million with five times for serious willful infringement; (4) Digital works: protection includes live streaming, mobile apps, etc.; (5) Foreigners: protection automatically applies to works of foreigners first published on Chinese territory or under international conventions.
