You have completed the free course. Now it is time to put it into practice. Here is a clear action plan for the first 30 days.

The 30-day plan for your first import deal

Week 1 — research
- Choose a specific product you understand and whose market you know
- Find 10 suppliers on Alibaba and 1688
- Send enquiry messages to at least 5 suppliers

Week 2 — verification and comparison
- Sort and compare the offers received
- Order samples from the best 2–3 suppliers
- Pay for the samples (USD 30–100)

Week 3 — evaluating the samples
- Receive the samples and inspect them carefully
- Compare quality and packaging
- Choose the final supplier
- Negotiate price and terms

Week 4 — the order
- Put the terms in writing (PI or contract)
- Pay through Trade Assurance or T/T
- Follow up production with the supplier
