The Canton Fair — officially the China Import and Export Fair — is the largest trade fair in the world, held twice a year in Guangzhou.

When is it held?
- Spring: April/May (3 phases)
- Autumn: October/November (3 phases)

Big numbers:
- More than 60,000 Chinese exhibitors
- More than 200,000 international visitors per session
- 1.4 million square metres of exhibition space

How to register for the Canton Fair
1. Create an account on the official site: cantonfair.org.cn
2. Register as an International Buyer
3. Get your free entry badge
4. Book a hotel in Guangzhou early (hotels fill up fast)
5. Support your visit with your passport and a China visa

Tips for a successful visit
- Prepare a list of the products you are looking for
- Dedicate a day to each sector (electronics, clothing, furniture…)
- Carry business cards
- Take copies of your specifications and product examples
- Note down the details of every supplier you talk to
- Take photos with the exhibitor's permission
