Zhangjiagang

In Jiangsu province

Zhangjiagang is a county-level city administered by Suzhou on the south bank of the Yangtze, and one of China's richest county economies. It grew from a small river port into a major deep-water harbour and industrial base for steel, chemicals and grain shipping, and is regularly ranked among the country's most livable and cleanest cities. It sits on the Nantong–Suzhou–Shanghai high-speed line. For an international student, Zhangjiagang offers a modern, orderly city, strong industry and quick connections across the Yangtze Delta.
