Liuzhou is an industrial city on the Liu River in central Guangxi, known nationwide as the home of luosifen, the pungent river-snail rice noodle dish now popular across China. Ringed by karst hills, it has a humid subtropical climate. An airport and high-speed rail connect it to Nanning and Guilin.
