Ji'an is a border county-level city under Tonghua in eastern Jilin on the Yalu River, home to UNESCO-listed Goguryeo-era tombs and the ancient Wandu Mountain City ruins. Note: distinct from Ji'an city in Jiangxi province. Its climate is humid continental with cold winters and warm, humid summers. Highways connect it to Tonghua and across the river to North Korea.
