In Anhui province

Huangshan is a mountain city in southern Anhui named after the famous Yellow Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage site of granite peaks, pine trees, and seas of clouds. The surrounding area preserves the ancient Huizhou villages of Hongcun and Xidi. Its climate is a misty, mild humid subtropical mountain climate. An international airport and high-speed rail link it to Hangzhou and Shanghai. For an international student, Huangshan offers spectacular scenery, well-preserved traditional architecture, and a quiet pace of life.
