Neta is the brand of startup Hozon Auto, and was China's top-selling startup in 2022 with over 150,000 cars. But the brand entered a severe financial crisis from 2024: 2025 sales collapsed over 98% to just 1,213 cars, its three plants in Tongxiang, Yichun and Nanning stopped production, and the parent entered formal court bankruptcy proceedings in June 2025. As of mid-2026 there is no confirmed evidence of resumed production or a successful financial rescue. Neta cars (especially the L and X) remain common on Chinese roads at very low used prices, but without guaranteed long-term parts or service support.
