Zhu Huarong served as president of Changan Automobile before being appointed chairman of the newly formed China Changan Automobile Group, established in July 2025 directly under the central SASAC, overseeing all of the group's brands including Changan, Avatr, Deepal and Kaicene.
📖 About the company
Kaicene is Changan's dedicated pickup-truck and light-commercial sub-brand, tracing back to the F30 launched in 2016 under the "Shenqi" series. It later co-developed the F70 with France's Groupe PSA, which became the basis for the Peugeot Landtrek exported to Latin America and Africa. The smaller F50 was discontinued back in 2020, while its successor F300 (an evolution of the F30) remains on sale. Kaicene stays a comparatively smaller player in China's pickup segment next to Great Wall's dominance, though it expanded with an extended-range EV variant, the Changan Hunter EREV, launched in late 2023.
