Aion is GAC Group's EV arm, founded in 2017 and for years China's third-biggest EV seller. Its lineup expanded in 2025-2026 from three to six models with the addition of the RT (battery-swap sedan), UT (Milan-designed hatchback) and N60 (new entry model), alongside the established Y, S and V. It exports to Southeast Asia, Europe (UK from 2026) and the Middle East, and merged operations with the luxury Hyptec brand in late 2025.
