ℹ️ About the bank
Banque Misr is Egypt's second-largest bank. It opened a Guangzhou representative office in 2017 as part of its international expansion (it has similar offices in Russia, South Korea, Italy and Kenya). Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, was chosen as South China's financial and trade hub. The office does not conduct direct public banking transactions; it supports non-transactional activity and Egypt–China trade relations.
