Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Hunan is famous for thousands of towering quartz-sandstone pillars that inspired the floating mountains in the film Avatar. Part of the Wulingyuan UNESCO World Heritage Site, it includes the Bailong Elevator and Yuanjiajie.
