ℹ️ About
One of the most celebrated towers south of the Yangtze, overlooking Dongting Lake. Its origins trace to the Three Kingdoms period (around 220 AD), and it was immortalised by the Song-dynasty essay of Fan Zhongyan. The present all-timber structure was rebuilt in 1867 during the Qing dynasty.
