ℹ️ About
A stone arch bridge over the Yongding River about 15 km southwest of central Beijing. Built in 1189-1192 during the Jin dynasty and rebuilt in 1698, it took its Western name from the 13th-century praise of Venetian traveller Marco Polo, and is also known as the site of the 1937 incident that began the Second Sino-Japanese War.
