The Lushan Xihai Scenic Area in southwestern Jiujiang spans Yongxiu and Wuning counties, with a planned area of 495 square kilometres, including 308 square kilometres of water. It began as the Yunju Mountain–Zhelin Lake scenic area, created by the Zhelin hydropower project started in 1958, and was renamed Lushan Xihai in August 2011. It has two parts, the Xihai lake area and the Yunju Mountain area. It was rated a national 5A tourist attraction in 2020.
