ℹ️ About
A forested mountain in the far south of Henan on the edge of the Dabie range, named 'rooster mountain' because its summit resembles a cock spreading its wings. Its cool summers made it one of China's four great summer retreats alongside Lushan, Moganshan and Beidaihe, and more than two hundred European- and American-style villas built in the early twentieth century have earned it the name 'exhibition of world architecture'. It is famous for near-permanent cloud, hence the nickname 'park in the clouds', and is a national scenic area and national nature reserve. It was upgraded to 5A in 2022, the first 5A site in Xinyang.
