Hetu Ala Old City is in Yongling Town, Xinbin Manchu Autonomous County, Fushun. Its Manchu name means "flat-topped ridge", and it was historically called Xingjing. With inner and outer walls, it was the Later Jin capital where Nurhaci proclaimed himself khan, the last hill-fort capital in Chinese history and the best-preserved Jurchen hill city, more than 400 years old. Early Qing figures including Nurhaci and Hong Taiji were born here. It was listed as a national key cultural relic in 2006.
